Structural Detail -- The big 'Y'

The BIG 'Y' was shaped by the metaphor.

By grasping upon the sifting device to pan for gold

--we understand the use of a girder--

as a column holds the building's girdle.

The 'Y' acts as two arms holding 

some-type-of-object. 

The children gain understanding 

by the connection to the human body.

HVAC systems

Here are the HVAC systems in my Children's museum. 

I designed it for ECS-- 

environmental control systems 

but thought it prudent to use it 

for my current studio work.
